TONIGHT in downtown LA, built around the art walk and inside the Globe Theatre, a host of amazing acts will be performing. Headlining the event is LIVING THINGS, yep, those guys, and our new love, THE LIBRARY, with a collection of DJ's that is a who's who in LA > POSSO THE DJ, ROYAL RUMBLE, MiCHAEL and KEENHOUSE. LINE UP ANNOUNCED FOR APRIL'S THE RUMBLE: LOS ANGELES

Next Thursday night in Los Angeles, THE RUMBLE: LA returns for the April installment at 3 Clubs with three great bands and our resident DJ's MiCHAEL, fresh from their SXSW trip where they killed it at HOT FREAKS and the PURE VOLUME closing night party. RADEMACHER, a band we've loved since stumbling on them in July of 2005 are finally getting the credit and attention they deserve, and are headlining the party. In from Austin, Texas are THE FRONTIER BROTHERS, a band we're insanely lucky to have scored for the party. If you haven't seen this band, or heard their brilliant release, "Space Punk Starlet", do so. Here's a sample, "Kickstand Woman" (mp3). The third band is a Future Sounds band, SIMON SAYS NO from Oslo, Norway. They'll be coming in on fumes from the Rumble: SF on Wednesday night, watch out for Simon the guitarist, there's something special happening with that guy.

If you haven't been out to a Rumble party, what's wrong with you? This isn't a hipster night, it's about supporting up and coming bands, surrounded by people that seem like old friends you left behind in your home towns before moving to a town full of VIP lists and fair weather friends. The 3 Clubs is a dirty/dark drinking hole that's absolutely perfect for rock and roll. The tiny backroom where the band's play is intimate and you'll get a closer look at the artists than you probably bargain for.

For those of you that have attended any of the LA RUMBLE events, you are aware of the two DJ machines that are our resident mixers, MiCHAEL. Tonight they are throwing one of their legendary DANCEISM parties in downtown LA, the kind that's been bringing them over 5,000 kids each time. THE RUMBLE: LOS ANGELES LINE UP ANNOUNCED

THE RUMBLE: LOS ANGELES is here again this Thursday at 3 CLUBS in Hollywood.

This month's line up is tremendous! Coming into town from Washington DC to headline is JUKEBOX THE GHOST, a band we've been fans of for a few years now, finally got them out West and playing our joint.

LA's THE RINGERS support, but they are more like a giant punch in the mouth. You've heard me go on and on about this band, as they are the kind of act that makes you excited about music again - give me danger over five "cool" guys in t-shirts anyday. The Ringers are so dangerous I suggest you bring your own mouthpiece or knee pads, you could get tackled.

Opening up is a band that's buzzin' on the local scene, THE VOYEURS. Having just played their CD release party last week at The Echo, the band jumps right back on the tiny 3 Clubs stage to deliver the hit-after-hit crush of their full-length "Well Known Drag". We were tipped off to the band by ROCK INSIDER, who is our featured blogger this month, so thanks to Jax for booking this band for the party. ROCK INSIDER is another great place that actually looks to help bands out early on and champion them to the world.

Our resident DJ's are the Trojan duo known as MiCHAEL (Greg & Alex). Their DANCEISM parties are drawing up to 700 people downtown these days.

We'll also be giving away FREE VESTALIFE "Ladybug" iPod docking stations to select party goers.

TONIGHT IN LOS ANGELES: THE RUMBLE LA @ 3 OF CLUBS

After the ASCAP party, stay close in Hollywood and into a real drinking joint, the 3 Of Clubs for THE RUMBLE: LOS ANGELES. Oasis, smoasis, come on, if you haven't already seen them act relevant at least once over the years, give some new guys a chance. The report from last night's RUMBLE SF was that THE FEROCIOUS FEW murdered their set, one of the best performances at a Rumble SF to date. On at 10pm is THE GROWLERS, a band I'm anxiously awaiting because I've heard so much about their live set and have yet to see it for myself. MiCHAEL do what they do, hold it down and get people moving on the decks. Free if you RSVP, $5 if not.

LAST NIGHT'S RUMBLE: LA WAS A SMOKER!

My ears are still ringing from last night's set of music by THE YELLING. Holy Shit!! We've been following this band for months and last night's performance was their coming of age party. This band will not play rooms this small for much longer, or probably not rooms anymore at all. Like RAGE meets WOLFMOTHER, with the full package.

THE BLACKS were the first band to do back-to-back Rumbles, playing SF the night before and fighting traffic to get down to Hollywood for their first ever LA show. The tambourine explosion took place all over the crowd, and no one dared piss off frontwoman Louisa. Their set tore the cover off the ball.

San Francisco's BIRDS & BATTERIES opened up the evening with a number of new songs not on their brilliant record, and sadly, no photos turned up (yet) of their set. Michael Sempert's vocals have the most comforting affect and on top off it all, they're probably some of the nicest people you'll meet.

TONIGHT IN LOS ANGELES: THE RUMBLE @ 3 OF CLUBS

You are not going to want to miss the trifecta of talent that we're dishing up at THE RUMBLE: LOS ANGELES tonight. Opening up is a band we were happy to catch at SXSW, BIRDS & BATTERIES from San Francisco. We've been chasing them for ages so their appearance tonight will be special. And if last night's micro-set by THE BLACKS at The Rumble: San Francisco is any indication of what the band will do with a full set to run wild on, then we're in for a night of abuse. Closing out the evening is the band that is grabbing plenty of attention in LA these days within the industry, a band that still can generate a gaggle of A&R reps in a time when there aren't many left - THE YELLING. The band is currently featured on ITUNES. Our resident DJ's, MiCHAEL, also seem to be stars on the rise locally and each month they've been pushing the party harder from the decks.

Our November RUMBLE party isn't one for those with a weak constitution - if you're coming, bring your earplugs and be ready for some whiskey drinking. THE YELLING are just plain loud, like ZEPPELIN going heavy, and THE BLACKS are the perfect band for the dark little booths at the 3 Of Clubs. Opening up the night is a band that I've been talking about since having my jock handed to me at SXSW in April, BIRDS & BATTERIES from San Francisco. This line up is tremendous!

TONIGHT IN LOS ANGELES: THE RUMBLE @ 3 OF CLUBS

Tonight, after you are finished watching the VP Debate farce, which promises to be great television, go out and celebrate that Palin is now helping our cause at THE RUMBLE: LOS ANGELES. For all you embarrassed Republicans out there that feel like they need to connect with the rural roots, the 3 Of Clubs is the perfect dive bar for you to drink away your sorrows. No elitists in this joint, just good beer.

Driving out from North Carolina to play tonight at 9:30pm are THE NOISES 10, a band that's graced a number of FS compilations over the years, and tonight they'll be celebrating the release of their latest CD, produced by Eric Valentine and recorded a stone's throw from the club.

Following up will be Dave Stewart's kid, DJANGO JAMES & THE MIDNIGHT SQUIRES. He's young in years but he has the stage presence of a cagey veteran. If you haven't heard "Givin' Tree" on my radio program or around town, nows the time to listen.

Headlining the evening is the band from Cincinnati, Ohio, BAD VEINS. I've been looking forward to see this band live for some time and as dumb luck/timing would have it, we got to book them while they are visiting LA for shows.

Our resident DJ's, MiCHAEL, are a couple of guys from USC that know how to throw parties and turn them out. I heard they may soon become the President and VP of the student body on campus.
