TONIGHT IN LOS ANGELES: ZOMBIE PROM @ THE ROXY

Love is in the air tonight @ The Roxy in Los Angeles when four bands we love around FS HQ put together a Zombie Prom Night for Valentine's Day. SAINT MOTEL has put together a dream bill of local talent making waves, as they have YOUNG THE GIANT (formerly known as THE JAKES) + CHASING KINGS + LINKS. All of these bands have graced our Rumbles but KROQ has jumped on board of this one and it's worth your $10.

You'll need a fan to cool off if you head out to see ALL WRONG & THE PLANS CHANGE @ The Viper Room this evening. These ladies share the bill with THE DANCE PARTY, DYNAMITE WALLS, BURN DOWN THE MISSION and THE JAKES.

TONIGHT IN SAN DIEGO - THE RUMBLE: SD @ THE CASBAH - FREE BBQ

TONIGHT in San Diego at The Casbah it's a matinee version of THE RUMBLE: SAN DIEGO starting with doors at 6pm and FREE BBQ + Trumer Pilsner beer specials all afternoon/evening.

The line-up is incredible, with local badasses RAFTER headlining and showing off the SD power that's happening on that local music scene these days. Sadly, it's the last night of The Rumble Tour with UNITED STATE OF ELECTRONICA who started with us in Seattle and now part ways this evening with a final performance in SD. I heard rumor that they played on the top of some double-decker bus last night in Las Vegas and floored everyone at Bardot on Friday night in Hollywood.

Opening up are the mighty Hermosa Beach band, THE JAKES, fresh off their recent Roadrunner Records signing and with a frontman that has a voice big enough for two bands.

Tonight is FREE and the free ribs and chicken plus beer specials give you no excuse for soaking up some great acts to close out your weekend.

UNITED STATE OF ELECTRONICA TO PLAY SEPTEMBER RUMBLE PARTIES

Future Sounds is thrilled to be a part of the return to the music scene by UNITED STATE OF ELECTRONICA and their latest release, "LOVEWORLD". We had them kick off our Rumble: Seattle party and we're absolutely floored by their live show. Future Sounds featured U.S.E on Future Sounds 18 in February of 2005 after hearing the single, "Emerald City" and downloading their entire record for FREE, long before Radiohead or NIN ever even considered such a concept. That DIY attitude has always resonated with Future Sounds and The Rumble Tour reflects the theme that bands have more opportunity today than ever before to get their music heard in unique and groundbreaking ways.

U.S.E (aka United State of Electronica) is set to release its forthcoming second album, L O V E W O R L D on October 20 via a new partnership between Mannheim Worldwide and The Rebel Group. The CD release date will be preceded by a digital release on September 8.

U.S.E is an experience, a seven-piece party. Check out this track, "K.I.S.S.I.N.G." and you'll see what you are about to be in for. U.S.E were one of the first bands that I can remember back in 2004 to give away their entire album for Free, and they still continue to record and perform to the beat of their own drum. We cannot stress strongly enough about how your life needs to experience U.S.E.

SPIN gave recently gave U.S.E's L O V E W O R L D an 8/10 ranking, and said, "Any indie dude can bawl a sad song, but singing a genuinely uplifting one is tougher. Conjuring the communal spirits of both club music and underground rock, this seven-piece Seattle act pack their emphatically nonautomated Europop with arena-rock guitars, giddy girlie vocals, and vocoders set to stun. THE JAKES SIGN TO ROADRUNNER RECORDS

I just read in KINGS OF A&R that our friends, THE JAKES, have just inked a deal with Roadrunner Records. Frontman Sameer Gahdia has an incredible voice and their CD "Shake My Hand" got plenty of love around the HQ. Congrats for getting it done guys!

They play Spaceland on September 7th with St. Motel.
