The Rumble: New York is moving to Brooklyn....but before leaving we're throwing a farewell party at FONTANA'S on July 22nd with three amazing up-and-coming artists:

Our partner in the night, STRANDED IN STEREO is moving with us over to a Brooklyn venue that we'll be announcing soon with a host of great new partners that will be back online in September.

We have a bruiser of a line-up in New York for this month's THE RUMBLE: NEW YORK at Fontana's. Brooklyn's CLINICAL TRIALS, one of our new favorite acts, will be headlining our last gig at Fontana's. We're moving the party to Brooklyn in September to SOUTHPAW, we'll have more info on that coming. Coming up from Philadelphia is the very talented JOHNNY ACTION FIGURE and opening up is MIDI & THE MODERN DANCE. Party starts at 8:30PM - $7.

Summer is officially here and why not come kick off a season of great music at this month’s Rumble N.Y. party at Fontana’s this Wednesday, June 17. This month’s line-up offers a diverse range of musical stylings ranging from grunge pop to classic foot-tapping rock tunes.

NEIGHBORS

Neighbors, guitarist Noah Stitleman’s solo project beckons references to Built to Spill with drawn out arrangements and melodies. Primarily recorded in Stitleman’s Brooklyn apartment, The Neighbors EP, “The Famous Torero” was completed in March 2008. Neighbors is a softer alternative to Stitleman’s other band Jacksonknife with songs like “That’s Enough” and “I’m Building I’m on Fire.”
Recently given honorable mention in The L Magazine’s “8 NYC Bands You Need to Hear,”

THE ROYAL CHAINS

Called “gritty gusty music,” by NY Cool. The Royal Chains maintain pop-worthy melodies paired with tight rock beats. Singer/Guitarist Adam Roddick and bassist Dan Lawley hail from Nashville, giving The Royal Chains sound a Southern tinge combined with East Coast rock sensibilities. Their Debut EP "Crime Scene" featuring No Love in Your Punches is available now.

PINKY

Brooklyn based Pinky recall 1990’s grunge with singer Tim Lynch’s vocals. Fresh off a SWSX showcase, it’s easy to tell that Pinky is influenced by the Sub Pop catalog, particularly on songs like “Autumn in New York.”

June 17th in New York at Fontana's we've teamed up with STRANDED IN STEREO for THE RUMBLE: NEW YORK. This month's show starts at 8:30pm and features THE ROYAL CHAINS, NEIGHBORS and PINKY. $7.

On the east coast version of THE RUMBLE- The Rumble: NYC this month we've teamed up with Stranded in Stereo who have selected the mighty BRONTOSAURUS as well as ENNUI from Philadelphia. The party is only $5, which is like free in Manhattan, so it's a recession deal we can all appreciate. 9PM doors.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT IN NEW YORK- THE RUMBLE: NYC @ FONTANA'S

For those of you NOT going to SXSW, or who are going on Thursday, you have one more chance to catch THE BROTHERS MOVEMENT in from Dublin when they play THE RUMBLE: NEW YORK @ Fontana's. Also playing are up-and-comers CROOKED LOOKS, HANK & CUPCAKES, and LAST YEAR'S MODEL. Party starts at 8PM, $7.

Future Sounds is now working with Dublin, Ireland's THE BROTHERS MOVEMENT who arrive in New York this weekend for three shows.

TONIGHT IN NEW YORK: THE RUMBLE NYC IS BACK @ FONTANA'S

We've got one helluva show on tonight in Manhattan at Fontana's! Kanine Records' latest act, DRINK UP BUTTERCUP + JEAN ON JEAN + OPERAHOUSE (can't get enough of this band from Manchester) and the top off is that PLUSHGUN will be performing for their CD release party (Tommy Boy Records) for their release "Pins & Panzers". We're very proud of Dan and Plushgun since watching them bust into the world on FS31 with single, "Just Impolite".

Tonight in New York at FONTANA'S it's our first ever THE RUMBLE: NEW YORK. Continuing our new relationship with STRANDED IN STEREO we're bringing our fourth monthly party night that highlights up-and-coming artists and indie music. We're bringing the three bands from the Boston RUMBLE down tonight for a taste of Manhattan. That means THE DEPRECIATION GUILD, CYMBALS EAT GUITARS, and BLACK DIAMOND BAY.

The guest DJ for the night is Dissensous from the blog, Raven Sings The Blues.
