FREE CHRISTMAS MUSIC FROM ANNI ROSSI

If you read this blog from time to time, you know about our affection for the wonderfully talented ANNI ROSSI. The Christmas season is pretty damn cold in Chicago where Anni is from, so Anni stays inside with the nog and cuts some fine tunes of yuletide cheer. As a thank you to everyone who has supported her this year, including big tours with Camera Obscura, Noah and the Whale, Mason Jennings, and more, Anni wants to offer everyone a nice little early holiday gift. Go to annirossi.com and sign up for the fan club, and she'll give you her Christmas Songs EP and a decoder ring that tells you to "drink your Ovaltine." Okay, so the latter is a fib, but the EP is not. Go check it out, and have yourself a merry little Christmas.

Here's a present for you - Download "Silver Bells" - For the FREE Christmas EP, go HERE.

TONIGHT IN LOS ANGELES: ANNI ROSSI + HONEY & THE MONEY

She's got a world class voice coupled with left-of-center themes and inspirations, she's ANNI ROSSI and she's out supporting her latest 4AD release, 'Rockwell'. She's a real treat in a KATE BUSH meets JOANNA NEWSOM kinda way. She's on early, 7pm.

The Vancouver duo, HONEY & THE MONEY take their perfectly made songs into the Room 5 Lounge tonight at 9pm. H&TM are a music supervisors wet dream, the kind of songs that beg for the season finale of Grey's Anatomy. They are also wonderful people with true talent.

TONIGHT IN LOS ANGELES: ROBERT FRANCIS + PETER & THE WOLF + MAGIC BULLETS

An incredible line-up is happening tonight at The Echo that best of all, is FREE! The amazing songwriting of ROBERT FRANCIS will be highlighted, and congrats to him for signing a deal with Atlantic Records recently, as well as former FS favorites MAGIC BULLETS from San Francisco, and the incredible PETER & THE WOLF. I've yet to see ANNI ROSSI live, but I'm told it's something not to miss. I spent quite a bit of time listening to Robert's record, "One By One" over the course of the rainy weekend and it's pacing and quiet magic were a perfect fit.
