RUMBLE WEEK #1 CLOSES OUT IN LAS VEGAS @ THE ARUBA TONIGHT

Week #1 of THE RUMBLE closes out in Sin City as the Las Vegas version features a finely-tuned CHASING KINGS and two great Vegas acts, plus a $2 PBR draft special! Spread the word, and bring all your friends!

CHASING KINGS have been an incredible Rumble band, bringing their 'A' game every single night in towns they've never played before, only to have the locals responding and asking to book them again and again. They've played Las Vegas a number of times with our partners, NEON REVERB, so it should feel almost like home court this time around.

DEVILCAR
Known for their live show, DEVILCAR are a local act indie rock act garner buzz for their pop ladden full length debut "Happy Go Darkness." Combining their love of vintage pop and raw post punk edge, DEVILCAR are a must see.

CLOSE TO MODERN
Las Vegas City Life's favorite "neu-gloom" band, CLOSE TO MODERN are a throwback to the days of The Smiths and Joy Division with modern elements in the vein of Editors. After steady touring of the West Coast, CLOSE TO MODERN is bringing their dark melodramatic sound back home.

THE ARUBA HOSTS THE RUMBLE LAS VEGAS TONIGHT

This evening in Las Vegas at the Thunderbird Lounge in the Aruba Hotel it's THE RUMBLE: LAS VEGAS. We wind up the first leg of the Rumble run of shows (the 6th party in 7 nights) starting at 8:30pm tonight, so pull your mothers off the craps tables and over to see this FREE show that will work off the buffet you leveled.

Our traveling wilburys THE FEROCIOUS FEW and San Diego's LITTLE DEADMAN shake off the rust from last night's gig at Bar Pink in San Diego and join up with local favorite THE CLYDESDALE and DJ REX DART. Las Vegas City Life just did this nice feature on TFF that provides some insight into their 'busking lifestyle' - read it here. Our friends at Neon Reverb tipped us on LV's The Clydesdale so we're intrigued to catch it ourselves. “(The Clydesdale) Sounds like the soundtrack to a western directed by Quentin Tarantino” - Rolling Stone Magazine

THE RUMBLE: LAS VEGAS TONIGHT INSIDE THE NEON REVERB MUSIC FEST

THE RUMBLE: LAS VEGAS tonight is a part of Nevada's annual indie rock music festival known as NEON REVERB FEST, and tonight we give you 2 stages at The Aruba Hotel! Headlining The Thunderbird Lounge is a band that just did all the West Coast Rumbles, TWIN TIGERS, as well as MOTHER MCKENZIE, DREAMING OF LIONS, BRYAN TODD and the brilliant DAVID HOPKINS. Headlining The Aruba Showroom is THE HENRY CLAY PEOPLE with A CROWD OF SMALL ADVENTURES, HUNGRY CLOUD, NOVELTY ACT, & THE MAD CAPS.

Doors are at 7pm and the whole night is only $10.

JAGUAR LOVE CLOSES OUT THEIR WEEK OF RUMBLES IN LAS VEGAS TONIGHT

Super Bowl Sunday is no match for the FREE party taking place at The Aruba tonight when THE RUMBLE: LAS VEGAS arrives. We've watched JAGUAR LOVE start in Seattle on Monday night and systematically destroy each and every Rumble party - 6 in 7 days - down the west coast. The guys are real ballers, not only capable of starting big, but closing HUGE!

The Vegas acts representing this month are bands that bring lots of momentum to the table in the forms of KID MEETS COUGAR and PAN DE SAL. Kid Meets Cougar has a similar make-up to the Jaguar Love gang, in that it's a 2-piece that loves electronic-indie sounds, but maybe that's where the comparison ends. Pan De Sal is so unique you'll need to catch them in person to hope to comprehend this world electro indie mix by a trio whose names are Orange Sheila, Love Pentagon and The Doodler. Think TOM TOM CLUB meets U.S.E but sang in three or four different languages.

SUNDAY - THE RUMBLE: LAS VEGAS @ THE ARUBA

Every night in Vegas is potentially deadly, but for a Sunday night THE RUMBLE: LAS VEGAS has a killer line up tomorrow night. Boasting a band that was just named "10 Vegas acts to watch in 2010" by the Las Vegas Weekly it's GRAY MATTER ACADEMY. Also representing the local scene is WALL STREET VAMPIRE and DJ MIKEATTACK. The out-of-towner this month is San Diego's SUNDAY TIMES.

Doors are at 8:30pm, show starts at 9:30 at the Thunderbird Lounge inside The Aruba Hotel and is FREE.

TONIGHT IN LAS VEGAS - THE RUMBLE: LAS VEGAS @ THE ARUBA

Our Sin City version of THE RUMBLE rolls into Las Vegas this evening for another FREE party at the Thunderbird Lounge within the Aruba Hotel. San Diego's TAPE DECK MOUNTAIN come in to headline after back-to-back Rumble shows in Los Angeles and San Diego. Their full length just dropped on Lefse Records and it needs to be heard. Representing the home court are two bands that we've heard plenty about from our partners, NEON REVERB - BLACK CAMARO and THE LAZYSTARS. Handling this month's DJ duties is DJ LADYFINGERS.

TONIGHT @ THE ARUBA - THE RUMBLE: LAS VEGAS RETURNS

Making another run at Sin City - THE RUMBLE: LAS VEGAS let's it ride at The Thunderbird Lounge at The Aruba for another FREE night of music. This month's party features 3 bands and a special guest DJ all brought to you by Future Sounds, Neon Reverb, Indigenous and WOXY.

Closing out their 6 city Rumble tour is the incredible APES OF WRATH. Watching them again and again, and their mid-afternoon performance at The Casbah in SD yesterday, it's easy to understand that this band has a huge future in front of them. They played songs off their newly finished full-length, 10 tracks of JONATHAN RICHMOND & THE MODERN LOVERS meets THE MUSLIMS/SP goodness. Just watching their drummer is a show within the show.

Las Vegas comes correct, and represent with THE SKOONERS, and band with gorgeous melodies at times while at other moments run off the rails. We've really enjoyed all that we've heard from this four piece and live they actually make indie kids dance.

Opening up are MINOR SUNS, an unsigned band from Vegas that create some gorgeous sounding indie rock that would find a nice home on Thrill Jockey or Barsuk.

The special guest DJ this month is DJ MIKEATTACK!

FIRST EVER THE RUMBLE: LAS VEGAS HAPPENS TONIGHT @ THE ARUBA

Vegas? Yeah, you heard it right, our little Rumble parties have now crept to Sin City to THE ARUBA where FITZ & THE TANTRUMS will finish their week long run of Rumbles that started in Seattle and have blazed a trail of new disciples in it's path. That puts us in seven US cities a month now, and we're gunnin' for 12 by March 2010.

Future Sounds has teamed up with Las Vegas' NEON REVERB, people that know how to throw a party for the inaugural Vegas Rumble. In case you were wondering, this won't be your typical big casino, tourist party, this is deep in the heart of the Vegas that people that live and sleep there hang out.

We took the lead from NR on some local acts that are now on our radar, and A CROWD OF SMALL ADVENTURES will headline, and THE MAD CAPS will open up the event. The special guest DJ is REX DART at this FREE party that also has a built in after-party.

ANNOUNCING THE RUMBLES FOR OCTOBER - FITZ & THE TANTRUMS - THE RUMBLE: VEGAS OPENS

The West Coast Rumble parties for October are set, and FITZ & THE TANTRUMS will be making the now 6 city run from Seattle to Las Vegas. That's right, Vegas opens on October 11th with our new partners NEON REVERB at THE ARUBA. Each cities line-up is hand picked and unique. October also represents our 2 year anniversary at HARLOT in San Francisco, so Fitz will be playing with upstarts MAN/MIRACLE and guest DJ's Aaron Axelsen and DJ Tom Thump.
