TONIGHT - THE RUMBLE: SEATTLE IS BACK @ HAVANA SOCIAL CLUB

Dear Seattle,

We didn't leave you, we just enjoyed the holidays and prepared for what THE RUMBLE: SEATTLE is about to bring you TONIGHT at an all new location - HAVANA SOCIAL CLUB - and with two bands we think are incredible.

Headlining and playing all The Rumble west coast dates in February is the mighty JAGUAR LOVE. The band is about to drop in March their full-length, 'Hologram Jams' (Fat Possum) and their new material is the best to date. If you listen to the Future Sounds radio show on WOXY.COM, you've heard a preview of at least two HUGE tracks - "Started A Fire" and "Polaroids & Red Wine" and it should give you an indication of just how deep and amazing this record is.

Jaguar Love is one of two bands that have sprung out of the 2007 break-up of experimental hardcore band THE BLOOD BROTHERS (the other being Past Lives). In Jaguar Love, singer/pianist Johnny Whitney and guitarist Cody Votolato are ex-members of that band, and Pretty Girls Make Graves member Jay Clark was the drummer: Due to unforeseen differences, Jay Clark has left the band.

Opening up the evening is the band formerly known as THEY LIVE!, now going by the name MASH HALL. They recently played in Seattle on New Years Day with Japandroids and mix hip hop with indie sensibilities. We still need to find out the story behind why They Live! is dead, but the new Mash Hall tracks sent our way are club thumpers.

The Rumble: Seattle is brought to you by Future Sounds, The Stranger, Line Out, Easy Street Records, The Wig PR, WOXY.com and Spin Earth and is a party that highlights up and coming artists in an intimate setting. The goal of The Rumble chain of parties, which is now in 8 cities a month is to have the indie community support the indie artists, from retail to radio to press to online outlets.

THE PARTY IS FREE

HAVANA SOCIAL CLUB is located at 1010 E Pike Street

MONDAY NIGHT - THE RUMBLE: SEATTLE LAUNCHES @ THE CROCODILE

We're traveling tomorrow to the Emerald City - Seattle, for our first ever RUMBLE: SEATTLE party at The Crocodile. Joining us in throwing the party is THE STRANGER, LINE OUT, EASY STREET RECORDS, WOXY and THE WIG.

Get a load of this powerhouse line up of Seattle's finest:
THE BLAKES
U.S.E (United State Of Electronica)
BATTLE HYMNS

We just had a great night of drinking out with The Blakes when they played our RUMBLE: PORTLAND party in August and we've loved these guys since their appearance on Future Sounds 27.

U.S.E on the other hand we've never had the pleasure to experience live, and this is their coming back show after cooking up a new record for release in September. If you've followed this 8 piece DJ outfit over the years, they were one of the very first artists to give their entire album away for free online, long before it became a trend, or a way of life. We're incredibly happy that they will be headlining all of the West Coast Rumbles in September down to San Diego.

Opening up is Battle Hymns of The Western States, or Battle Hymns to friends, and we got tipped off about them from our buddy Wes at Barsuk. We have high expectations!

The party kicks off when the doors open at 8pm, it's 21+ and only $5.

JUST ANNOUNCED - LINE UP FOR THE FIRST RUMBLE: SEATTLE

We've just locked in the line-up inaugural RUMBLE: SEATTLE party launching at The Crocodile in Seattle on August 3rd. Going forward it will be the first stop on the monthly Rumble tour circuit and always be on the first Monday of every month (Tues = Portland, Wed = San Fran, etc).

Playing the party are two Seattle heavyweights - THE BLAKES and U.S.E. (United States of Electronica), and one up-and-comer with tons of promise in BATTLE HYMNS. We're going to have some great guest DJ's and the whole thing is only $5.

Future Sounds is gloating because we've hooked up with partners like THE STRANGER, the daily habit for Seattle as their weekly newspaper and LINE OUT, the largest blog in town that is also a part of The Stranger. EASY STREET RECORDS will also be a partner, as well as local party promotions team, THE WIG and of course, our friends and brothers at WOXY.COM.
