FUTURE SOUNDS DEBUTS....

More information on bands that debuted this week on the FUTURE SOUNDS show....

THE GOOD NATURED
FROM: Newbury, England

Sounding like a warmer, more personal LADYTRON, mastermind-Sarah puts her keyboard to work and flirts with THE KNIFE. Check out track "Heart Of Stone".

PASSION PIT

FROM: Cambridge, MA

Almost like an American version of THE AVALANCHES, the Boston area based electronic five-piece have already done dates with GIRL TALK, and judging from their live shots on Youtube, this goes off in person.
Check out "Sleepyhead".

DEAD WOLF CLUB

FROM: London

London's DEAD WOLF CLUB deliver some heavy tunes I like, as you'd expect from yet another Wolf band. If they were just Dead Black Wolf, they'd have the trifecta of band names that are hot in 2008.
Check out "Dissapear".

FLORENCE & THE MACHINE

FROM: London
MYSPACE: http://www.myspace.com/florenceandthemachinemusic
Moshi Moshi Records

This one shouldn't be a surprise here, Florence and Co. have been attracting attention in the UK for part of this year, but she's finally dropping a single for "Kiss With A Fist" and the flip side is a great cover version of the COLD WAR KIDS' "Hospital Beds".

SO MANY DYNAMOS

FROM: St. Louis, MO

Somebody's been listening to PAVEMENT....From the Gateway to the West, St Louis, it's a band that sounds like they know how to have a good time. Check out "In Every Direction".

WHITE SUNDAY

FROM: Reading, England
MYSPACE: http://www.myspace.com/wsunday
Acid Queen Music (UK)

UK guitar pop, kinda STEREOPHONICS, touches of OASIS, another band popping out of the active Reading UK music scene. Check out track, "90's Hangover".

SIXTY WATT BAYONETTS

FROM: Reading, England
MYSPACE: http://www.myspace.com/sixtywattbayonets

Arty, punky, reminds me of FIGHT LIKE APES or the female ART BRUT, this young band has attitude and the songs to match. Check out track, "Dance School".
