TUESDAY MARCH 9TH @ THE ECHO - FUTURE SOUNDS PRESENTS

This Tuesday March 9th, Future Sounds and The Echo present an epic night of music guaranteed to get you over that midweek slump.

TWIN TIGERS
Navigating the shoegazey indie pop permeating the scene right now is tough, but these Athens, GA natives will have no problem standing out from the rest. Reminiscent of early 90's rock; guitar laden, drum heavy and washed out fuzzy vocals, TWIN TIGERS deliver the best in garage grunge soaked sounds.

Their debut Gray Waves out now on Old Flame is destined to be on repeat for years to come, with tracks like "Red Fox Run" and the soaring "Passive Idol."

TWIN TIGERS make music loud enough for sold out stadiums, yet intimate enough to haunt even the smallest clubs. Garnering critical praise and blog love, with Aquarium Drunkard calling them "a four piece, the bands live show kills, reminiscent of Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine and Psychocandy era JAMC."

References to early Smashing Pumpkins abound, TWIN TIGERS are fast on their way to huge things. Judging from the fact that former Pumpkin Jeff Schroeder just caught their live show, it's easy to see that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

USELESS KEYS
Los Angeles natives, USELESS KEYS are Silver Sun Pickups meets psychedelic with a little shoelace goodness thrown in the mix.
Lead by former the Front front man Michael Bauer, this quartet is making waves with their debut EP Is The Painting Changing and recent shows at Echoplex, The Roxy and Spaceland. Having spent much of 2009 touring with Youth Group and others and a feature on KROQ Locals Only (106.7), USELESS KEYS are preparing for a big 2010.
Their track "White Noise" is currently making the rounds in the blogesphere, and backed by Buzzbands.LA tastemaker Kevin Bronson, USELESS KEYS are on to something. Check them out before they get too big!

SKYBOMBERS
Hailing from Melbourne, SKYBOMBERS are a Brit rock infused foursome, drawing comparisons to Oasis and the like. Currently recording in LA and working on making a name for themselves in the states, SKYBOMBERS have already racked up praise on their home turf, with Beat Magazine calling their live show, "one of the highlights of the Australian music scene at the moment."
Fresh off their showcase at The Roxy last month, these young Aussies are prepared to make 2010 their year.

APES OF WRATH
There are really no words for how much we love this trio from San Diego. They never fail to bring it in their live shows, as their tight garage rock sound is the ultimate party starter. Their single "Deathtrain" is an infectious piece of rock heaven, so much so that we released it back in November 2009. Having made the touring rounds lately, there is other way to say it, APES OF WRATH is on the verge of blowing up and we're all lucky to see them before they're huge.
