Thanks to our monthly RUMBLE: LAS VEGAS party, our partners there have turned our attention to a city we had left for quick trips of devastation and major label only acts (Killers/Panic At My B-Hole), to finding some quality indie acts with bright futures. This track is a straight pull from THE STONES and a bunch of blues legends before them, but the spin on it is that they are talking about indie hipsters with their arms crossed. Unsigned

Something cool is going on with Portland's BRAVE RECORDS, a tiny record label that is a collective built around cool indie bands from PDX that puts out vinyl releases. Vosotros tipped us off on these kids, CONGRATULATIONS, that woe'd the crowd at Spaceland recently here in LA.

Another one we were napping on, it took our boy Nassir to tip us off on what NME and RCRDLBL.COM are already praising. Looks like ACTIVE CHILD is the alias for Pat Grossi, a guy that knows how to create some angelic sounds.

I'm obsessed with "What A Drag", the latest effort from Brooklyn's BEAR HANDS. It's an instant favorite and looks to be included on the upcoming FS34 release. They played our CMJ party at Pianos and this new material is incredible.

It took me into their second album to trip over Cleveland's MR. GNOME, but this duo brings five heads to the party with dark, complex and freakish tunes. The whole album is noteworthy for that matter and ended up on a bunch of quality 'Best of 2009' lists. El Marko Records
