If the thumping basslines and hollowed vocals don't draw you into "On & On", let Film School work their magic with agitated guitars, screaming like the soundtrack to a murder scene. The shifting moods to the band's latest single aren't as severe as, say a Mogwai, or as subtle as a Hope of the States. Where the band lacks hooks, they make up for with melody and the wall of sound distance that only comes with the most accomplished shoegazers. Film School are certainly a find, but whether they can live up to this lovely noise for a full album will have to be heard to be believed. Single of the Week.
