FUTURE SOUNDS RADIO DEBUTS 3.08.10
More information on artists that debuted on today's Future Sounds radio show on WOXY....
I think we may have stumbled onto something special when Kyle kicked this one into our yard, it's a keeper - MAGIC MAN. Still catching up on the details on the who/what/why/where on MM, but after a spin through their Bandcamp page, we're hooked. Unsigned
LA based JOHN ISAAC WATTERS gets compared to MODEST MOUSE quite a bit, but once you get past the immediate reference point he makes it clear that he is his own man. A recent discovery here in the FSHQ, we're onto him now so expect to see him around these parts. Unsigned
Currently out on tour with ROGUE WAVE and AVI BUFFALO, New York's JBM makes music that is gorgeous in a '70's AM kinda way. This track reminds me of AMERICA or BREAD, and I mean them both in the most complimentary way. Partisan Records
Somebody loves their MBV! LA's SEASPIN are currently playing the March residency at Silverlake Lounge and have a support date coming up with SERENA MANEESH at The Troubadour. Unsigned
This Bay Area act recently played at our RUMBLE: SAN FRANCISCO party @ Cafe Du Nord and are comprised of a mini-super group, with members from HALOU and numerous other SF bands. Think sounds that could be movie soundtracks, at times downtempo-like, and you're getting close to this lot. Unsigned
