TONIGHT IN LOS ANGELES: PRINCETON @ SILVERLAKE LOUNGE

If you're a fan of BELLE & SEBASTIAN or VOXTROT, you're gonna like the band from Eagle Rock, PRINCETON. They play tonight at the Silverlake Lounge as part of their July residency there and it's FREE.

The band's "Bloomsbury EP" is a fresh and easy listen, great summer tunes. Princeton is fronted by two identical twin brothers that definitely owe their sound to another set of brothers - DAVIES, and you can tell have spent time listening to plenty of THE LEFT BANKE and THE BUCKINGHAMS.

I can't help but point out that the comic strip reference is incorrect on several points... first of all, it's called "Doonesbury", and second, it doesn't have anything to do with the Princeton EP. The actual theme is the Bloomsbury Group of the early 20th century, which included such luminaries as Virginia Woolf; hence the title. Not to be a critic, just setting the record straight.
