You know you're doing something right when you form your band and you quickly start up online controversy. People are talking about BOY CRISIS, cool remixes, and keeping fast company with MGMT and BLACK KIDS. July 21 Bowery Ballroom show coming soon. Track: "Dressed To Digress"

Everything I've heard from STRICKEN CITY thus far, I've liked. I'd really like to see them live, to find out if Rebekah Raa is truly the kind of frontwoman I think she is. Looks like they are giving their EP away for free as well. Track: "Tak O Tak"
Don't roll your eyes at another 'Black' band, this one is BLACK GOLD. Don't confuse it with SUGAR & GOLD, or SAM SPARRO's 'Black & Gold', it's BLACK GOLD bitches, recognize. I had a tough time picking which track to play, it's all impressive. Track: "The Comedown"
My Jam of the Week was from Staten Island? Turns out this is their sophomore record, which I heard from listening to a college station in Dallas and I'm hooked. Track: "At The Bottom Of The Sea"
This album, "We're In The Music Biz" caused a stir instantly thanks to an album cover where the ladies are naked and their cop outfits painted on (don't start looking closely you pervs). Part of England's 'The Mighty Boosh'-mania, these transformers are more than meets the eye. Track: "The Tears"
Everyone's darlings, mine too! The UK's answer to THE AVALANCHES, but mixing in the beauty of BEACH HOUSE. History proves that I love my Swedes, and this EP, 'No Way Down', is brilliant. Track: "Collapsing At Your Doorstep"
Oh yeah it's British, has the LIBERTINES- pub fighter sound all over it, and I'm ready to drink with them. Still trying to find out more info on these guys, but this London six-piece are political and want to take on George Bush. Track: "Let's Hang The Landlord"
Some old friends returning with new music:
DAVID VANDERVELDE - Track: "Someone Like You"
Perfect AM radio songs - what happened to the T. Rex??? Looks like someone moved to Nashville and fell into a soulful hole. Previously on FS27.
DIKTA - Track: "Just Getting Started"
Brand new demos sent my way from Iceland's answer to COLDPLAY. They are coming to LA next month for a week of dates to show off all this new material. Big vocals. Previously on FS26.
MYSTERY JETS - Track: "Two Doors Down"
Who isn't in love with this song about a guy in love with a girl that lives '2 doors down'? When we put them on FS19 forever ago, they seemed like a psychedelic band, a la THE CORAL, and now they're turning out hit songs.
BIRDMONSTER - Track: "Born To Be Your Man"
The mighty BIRDMONSTER are back! The San Francisco that blazed into everyone's blogconsciousnous a few years back have delivered the follow up - 'From The Mountain To The Sea' - and they're as catchy as they've ever been. Previously on FS23.
THE TEMPER TRAP - Track: "Oooh Baby"
Melbourne, Australia's TTT sent over their latest album only this morning, right as I was leaving for Little Radio, and since then I've played this five times - WOW! There are some big songs on this release. Previously on FS26.

Modular Records
The track I dropped today, "Paris Is Burning", has a funky-ass wiggle to it. What makes it even finer is that Ms Ladyhawke is a fox. They have a lot of people talking about them in the UK, should wind up here before too much longer. MYSPACE: http://www.myspace.com/ladyhawkerock
