FUTURE SOUNDS DEBUTS.....
More information on bands that debuted this week on the FUTURE SOUNDS radio show....
20 years old and a voice this amazing??? Look out ADELE and DUFFY, a new upstart is on your tail. Only three songs she's showing, and this is the only picture we can find on her. Mysterious.....
Tell me "Strangest Thing" doesn't have hit potential. Check out her site for free downloads.
From the brand new EP, "Forever Is A Long Time", Austin's TENLONS FORT makes absolutely stunning music. Every track that came my way was fine. Catch them playing Wednesday night in LA at Tangiers and the 16th at Boarderners for the RadioFree Silverlake night.
Bill Baird, formerly of SOUNDTEAM has reinvented himself with this amazingly atmospheric track that's some music supervisors wet dream. Check out track, "Diamond Studded Caskets"
So I just read that Perez Hilton blogged about these kids and drive 5,000 views an hour to their page, so we're SO last year finally playing this, but we're not obsessed with being first to anything, we'd rather just share bands we like. The voice of Molly Guldemond is pretty noteable.
Listen to "Body Of Years"
Could be this year's BLITZEN TRAPPER, live this Portland band brings it! Everything great about indie rock.
Check out "The Bottom Of The Lake"
From the home of Luc Longley, Perth's THE SILENTS can actually play their instruments like few other young bands these days. Not a jam band, but these guys can flat out jam! Something's happening here.
One of those bands I'm completely intrigued by and can't wait to meet and see play live. My imagination is pretty creative, so if LA's HEAVY YOUNG HEATHENS even halfway live up to the band I've conjured up, we'll have another local favorite. Thanks to the Diablo. Listen to "Drawn From Memory"
Another big mystery band, we know they are from London, and they are nice enough over email, but the end result is some really bad ass music. I'd love to tell you more about them if only I knew. In the meantime, enjoy the music, like track "You're Not Invincible"
